Grapefruit Diet

Today I took full advantage of my day off. I slept until almost noon! I normally wouldn't mind it because I needed to catch up on sleep but I started my diet today so it made breakfast pretty late! My diet's breakfast is the same everyday. I get two eggs cooked however I want, two pieces of bacon and half a grapefruit. That's why I am loving this diet, you actually get to eat and you don't feel hungry. I got myself so full with breakfast I could barely eat my grapefruit.

I talked to Travis throughout the afternoon which was nice. Beth left to put her clothes in the wash shortly after I ate breakfast. I watched David and Randall for her while she went. I had to go ahead and eat my lunch while she was gone so that I could go with her when they picked up Wes. For lunch on this diet you get salad. You can have meat and cheese on it and you can eat until you're stuffed. Best part, you get whatever dressing you want! Today I did no meat, romaine, orange pepper, celery, cucumber and blue cheese dressing. It was super yummy!

I went with Beth to pick up Wes and after we got him we went by each of our banks and we went to the dollar store again. I know we go there there way too much! Travis called while we were in the dollar store. I talked to him for quite a bit while walking around the store. After the dollar store I went home and she took the boys to the park. I normally would have gone with her but I had to catch up on two days of blogs so I came home! I ended up not even starting my blog until after she was back! I talked to Travis for the whole time she was at the park!

She called while she was on her way back to let me know that the in laws were on their way over. They stayed and hung out for a few hours and the boys especially enjoyed that. It was nice to get to spend some time with them! Travis called me while they were here so he got to talk to both of them for a little while. After they left I cooked my dinner. I can have meat and veggies for dinner and I can have as much as I want! I spoiled myself for the first night of my diet and had steak! Man was it good! I was so stuffed again!

I played around on the computer until it was time for bed. I didn't need my optional bedtime snack because I was so full. I got to talk to Travis right before I went to sleep. Even after we got off the phone we kept texting sweet texts back and forth. I guess we were in lovey dovey moods tonight! I went to sleep happy and thinking of my sweet husband!

Museum

Travis and I both got to sleep in today which was awesome. I didn't wake up until he called me at ten thirty! I talked to him for a little while and it was so nice to start my day out by taking to my love. I got up and relaxed for a little while with Beth and the boys.

We all went for a late breakfast at this local breakfast place called Anna J's. Beth and her family go there all the time but I had never been there before. It was so good and you get so much food for your money. I got the Bubba Breakfast which is pretty much everything you can get from the breakfast menu! I ate most of it but David helped me out with my waffle! I sent Travis a picture of my food because he always gets on me when my eyes are bigger than my stomach. I thought he would get a kick out of it!

After breakfast we took the boys to the dollar store. We both had to grab a few things and she was treating the boys to two toys each since they were only a dollar. While we were in there Beth remembered that this coming week is teacher appreciation week at Wes's school. She got so many things for his teachers to get a tiny gift each day this week.  Wes picked out the cutest things for them!

After the dollar store we made a stop by the house and headed to the Museum of York County. It is free on Sundays so we thought it would be a fun and cheap way to get the boys out of the house on this nasty rainy day! We had a blast. The funny part is I looked like Davids mom the whole time because I was pushing him in the strollers they had and I had the back pack with all of the kid stuff in it on! We walked around the entire museum twice! I even got the boys to go into the exhibit of nocturnal animals of South Carolina. They were scared at first because the room is very dark but I turned it into a seek and find game and they got pretty into it! We played in the play and learn area for a while and it was just so much fun!

After the museum we went to Petsmart to get some kitten food for Shelly. She is super picky so Beth has been having to try lots of different foods. We looked at the fish and cats too while we were there. I took a video of the chinchilla they had for sale to send to Travis. He loves chinchillas! We all started getting hungry and decided to have dinner at Zaxby's which was an awesome choice because it was delicious! Travis never wants to go there so I figured I better get it while I can!

After dinner we went home and I had a nice relaxing evening! Did my blog, watched some TV, and the best part was talking to my husband. I've gotten a little spoiled by him having a few days off that I could actually talk to him! I went to bed listening to the peaceful sound of rain falling!

Treats

I so didn't want to work today but at least I didn't have to be there until nine. It was nice to not have to call Travis so early. I loved knowing that he got to sleep in for a change. I called him after I got out of the shower to wake him up to move. They move them from the motel into a hotel once they are waiting for a trainer. I had already looked up the hotel he was moving to and it looks so nice!

I got myself all ready for work and headed in. Jane said for me to work as the runner/dining room person until 10:30 when Debbie had to leave because she would be in overtime. Breakfast was insanely busy until it ended at eleven. I was running food and busing tables like a mad woman. Luckily I was still in a really good mood from yesterday! I think that helped our tips a lot! After breakfast was over it was so dead at work. Everyone must have been at the Strawberry Festival. Me and Ashley got all of our closing work done super early so when the end of the day came we were ready to leave right away.

I was happy to get off of work early because I was meeting Mom and Joseph at Starbucks. It was half off frappacinos yum! I had to get myself a scone to eat too because I hadn't eaten all day! We tried to sit outside but it was so windy and chilly that didn't work out to well!

We walked down through Baxter for a bit and then decided to go in to Cupcrazed and look around. Who can walk into a cupcake store and not get a cupcake? This girl sure can't!    They had so many delicious options. Joseph got a +21 Mint Julep and I got a Tres Leches one. We were going to get the cupcakes to go but decided to sit inside where it was warm and eat them! We chatted for a bit too. After that they went with me to pick up a few things at Wal-mart and then I headed home.

Travis was enjoying his day to do nothing! He was all settled in the new hotel which he said was so much nicer. I was messing with him and asking him all of these questions about what it looked like and saying does it look like such and such when I already knew because I had seen the pictures online! I was glad that the pictures were actual pictures of the hotel. I did tell him that it had a small arcade which he didn't know. He went down and checked it out but he said it wasn't all that they didn't have Pacman!!! I thought that was too funny!

I worked on my blog but mostly I spent the evening playing Candy Crush! I was super excited to have the next two days off in a row and I was going to be super lazy tonight. I decided to be even more bad and get Bojangles for dinner. Guess it was just one of those days! Plus I am starting a diet on Monday so I figured I'd splurge while I could! I talked to Travis again and then it was bed time for me!

One Proud Wife

Today started out with a full on meltdown. Not a mini meltdown I'm talking crying in my bed and freaking out! I couldn't get hold of Travis for an hour and fifteen minutes and I was about to go crazy when he finally answered his phone. I had called the front desk of the hotel twice begging her to go check his room but she was the only one there and couldn't leave the desk. I was mainly worried because he had to be at school at six. If they were going to give him another try on the test I didn't want him to be late and miss out. Thankfully I finally got through at 5:30!

I went ahead and got ready for work even though it was early. I couldn't fall back asleep! I didn't have to be at work until 7:30 and I got there at 6:45 so I was too early to clock in. I took my time and ate some breakfast and sat around for a while. I texted Travis to see if he had any news at seven and he said that he was retesting at 7:30. I said a prayer and let my Mom and Beth know that he got to retest so that they could too! I wished my baby good luck and gave him my love and then it was off to work.

Unfortunately work wasn't that busy for a Friday morning. For some reason Jane had put three people on the schedule to work up front when you only need two so there was not even enough busy work to be done. I had way too much time on my hands! I think I looked at the clock about twenty times between 7:30 and 9:00 and then I couldn't take it anymore! I sent him a text just saying I loved him and waited some more. 

Around 9:45 I was going so crazy I jumped when the work phone rang. I dreaded answering and having to take someones order but I did my job and answered This is Louise speaking how may I help you.... I heard Travis say hey baby it's me are you busy and I stuttered to say uhhhh no. I couldn't tell but he sounded upset. My stomach did about twenty flips. He said "I passed my test!" I was so ecstatic jumping around I nearly forgot he was on the phone. I congratulated him and told him how truly proud I am of him! When we got off the phone I ran into the kitchen with my arms in the air and screamed he passed! Everyone was super excited for him! I text Mom and Beth to let them know and I think I told about fifty customers throughout the day too!

The rest of the day went by smoothly, I think because I was in such an amazing mood. Travis was texting me off and on throughout the day too. We did have a somewhat busy lunch but I didn't even care about that. I couldn't stop smiling and was just so happy and proud. I got out of work shortly after three so that was nice. I talked to Travis for a little bit on my way to the bank and then home. It was wonderful to be able to talk to him at a time he would have normally been in class.

I had intended to go put my clothes in the wash right after work but I forgot laundry detergent. I had to stop by the house to get that which is good because Beth needed a load of laundry done too so I dropped the clothes in the wash on my way to the grocery store. I was even all bouncy and happy in there. Travis and I were texting back and fourth so I took a picture of myself in the store to send him since I had on one of his tshirts. I thought he would get a kick out of me in a Metallica shirt! I did get a few funny looks taking pictures of myself in the store though.

I got a frozen pizza for dinner and a few other odds and ends. I stopped by on my way home to put the clothes in the dryer. When I got home Beth needed to run to the store so she did that and got the clothes out of the dryer. I folded them all and Zoe was in heaven.

We made our pizzas and ate dinner then got the kittens out to play. It was so precious watching Zoe play with Shelly. They get along so well. Zoe did get sad when baby Shelly had to stop for a nap though! Sweet thing climbed right up on my shoulder and slept for about fifteen minutes! 

Wes got to watch WWE Smackdown in my room on the big TV for getting greens all week at school. He had his wrestling ring and all of his men in there and was playing and acting out the matches. He set up three of them to be this one group called The Shield who wear riot gear. He chose three men who were wearing all black it was so cute! He had them powerbomb Kane which is what they were doing on the show!

One of the most awesome parts of this amazing day was that I got to talk to Travis so much! I talked to him throughout the day in texts and we talked on the phone a few times too. Right before bed we talked for a full forty minutes! The most we have talked in one day total since he left was 26 minutes! I was so happy! I'm going to sleep good tonight for sure! :)

Headaches

I woke up way too early today. I was awake before it was even time to call Travis because I couldn't breathe through my nose at all. Stupid colds! Travis was easy to wake up this morning so that was good. I went ahead and got my shower and got ready for work. I took my time since I wasn't feeling well. I left and got breakfast at McDonalds and still got to work way too early.

I was working in the kitchen again today and it was a busy busy day. I was ok with it being busy because it was a distraction. Travis had another retake today and we weren't sure if this would be the last chance or not. We were pretty sure it was the last chance though so I was so nervous and I knew he was too. To top that off he was sick too! How strange that we both had colds at the same time so far away from each other. 

Once we were starting lunch I was really starting to wonder about his test and I couldn't take it anymore! I finally got word from him but he had failed. He said the saddest thing, he thought he had let me down. I told him that no matter what he could never let me down and that I loved him so much. I knew he was beat down and  sad but by golly I was not going to have my husband feel like I was upset with him. He has worked so hard for this! 

I got off work and headed home. I had the worst headache! My cold was kicking my butt and I needed a nap. Travis was going to call me back when he had news about if he was coming home or not. I knew he wouldn't know anything until they got back to the school so I had two hours to take a nap. I slept hard and other than to answer two phone calls I slept the whole two hours.

Travis called me and said that they hadn't gotten back before school was over for the day so he wouldn't know the verdict until tomorrow morning. We didn't talk long because we both didn't feel very good. He went to take a shower and go to bed. I made a quick tuna melt and some pasta for dinner so that I could take my medicine. It hit the spot!

After dinner I played some Farmville and relaxed. I waited up four hours until I could take another dose of medicine and I was ready for bed! Good night!

Dishwasher

I got through to Travis  pretty easily this morning. I wished him good luck and told him I was proud of him no matter what. I was able to go back to sleep for about an hour before I had to get up for work. I still felt horrible. I got myself ready and headed in to work.

The morning started pretty smooth. I was in the kitchen and it wasn't too busy. The new dishwasher had started yesterday and was scheduled to come back in today. There was a sizable pile of dishes from catering but nothing terrible. Beth (work Beth not my sister-in-law) even organized them so it didn't look so overwhelming.

I started doing the slicing and stabbed my hand with a pairing knife so that was a great way to start the day. We continued on with the breakfast rush and everything was going well. Me, Beth and Jaime went out for a break and the dishwasher came with us. He was telling us how he doesn't mind hard work but that was a lot of dishes. We told him that it's not always like that but when there is catering the night before there can be a lot of dishes. What we didn't tell him was that it can be a lot worse! 

We went on with the day and it was about time to switch over to lunch. Jane came out of her office saying did you guys know the dishwasher left. We hadn't even seen him leave! He left a note written on a napkin on Jane's desk. It said "Jane, I've caught up with the dishes. It's not worth it. People don't help."  I guess he was expecting someone to come hold his hand while someone else washed the dishes for him. Who knows. So that put a damper on our day. I spent the rest of the day on dishes, a job which I haven't done there so I didn't know where some things went and didn't really know all the procedures but I made it through. I had to tape a glove to my hand so I wouldn't get my cut all dirty. It sure was a fun shift. Not.

 

Around noon Travis let me know that he hadn't passed his test again. This time he hit a curb. I tried to take the time to let him know that it was ok and I wasn't disappointed I just wanted him to be ok. He said he gets to retake it again tomorrow so that was good at least they aren't sending him home.

I ran a few errands after work and headed home. The boys wanted me to play wrestling theme songs while they played with their "men" (that's what they call their wrestling action figures). We did three songs and they loved it. They get a kick out of taking turns to pick who they listen to next. They think I'm so cool for having all the wrestling stuff even though its almost all Travis stuff!

I went and got Taco Bell for dinner because I so didn't feel like cooking. While I was out Travis called so I talked to him for a little while. I miss him more and more each day! It's so hard to only talk to him for a less than twenty minutes a day! If you are looking into doing this go ahead and prepare yourself for that because it's one of the hardest parts!

After I got home and ate Beth and I had Zoe and Izzie out together to get used to each other. We figured we would do one at a time while the boys were asleep so it wouldn't be too overwhelming. Overall it went well. Izzie puffed up at Zoe a few times and Zoe tried to pop at Izzie but didn't use her claws. Most of the time was spent with Zoe following Izzie around and she had the cutest curious face! Bed time came early tonight though! I went in to sleep at ten! Night night!

Sick

Just a warning this will be a short blog because I did a whole lot of nothing today! I woke Travis up today and went back to sleep until he called at his lunch break! I have some kind of sinus infection and it was kicking my butt today! I didn't do much of anything but lay around, write my blog and play Farmville! 

When I talked to Travis at his lunch break he told me he was practicing driving all day. The orientation instructor took him and his roommate out and they each drove two hours. It made me feel a lot better that the instructor would devote that much individual time. Travis also got to talk with someone who had tested on the course he is testing on tomorrow. He gave him a few pointers.

I watched David and Randall while Beth ran to the store and got Wes from school. They were really good for me which is good because I was laid out on the couch feeling like death!

After Beth got home I took a nap for about an hour. I woke up and had my dinner. I talked to Travis and he was feeling more prepared for his test. Beth and I played with the kittens for a little while and then I went to bed! Sorry for the short blog and such few pictures but I'm pooped and not feeling good!
